Razzak restricts Rajshahi→ Sports Reporter

National spinner Abdur Razzak took four for Khulna as they took a 89-run lead against Rajshahi at the end of day two in the final match of the 13th National Cricket League at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Top order batsman Junaid Siddique and Farhad Hossain resumed the second day for Rajshahi with 135 runs on the board in reply to Khulna’s 212 runs in the first innings.
However, Rajshahi batsmen failed to carry the momentum and were bowled out for 258.
Junaid who was unbeaten with 71 on day one, could add another 24 to his tally before getting bowled out by Khulna skipper Tushar Imran. The other unbeaten batsman from day one, Farhad, walked back to the pavilion scoring 77 runs.
Abdur Razzak led the Khulna bowling attack picking up four wickets in 32 overs conceding just 59 runs. Dollar Mahmud, Alamin Hossain and Tushar Imran shared two wickets each.
In the second innings, Khulna were rocked by bowler Farhad Hossain as he took the wicket of opener Soumya Sarkar with the first ball of the innings.
However, the other opening batsman, Ziaur Rahman and Imrul Kayes mended the early damage building a 72-run partnership.
Left arm spinner, Saqlain Sajib got the break through for Rajshahi sending Khulna opener Ziaur (21 runs) back to the dressing room.

Later, Imrul kayes departed after scoring 47 runs, missing his third half-century of the league.
Anamul Haque Bijoy and wicketkeeper batsman Mohammed Mithun held on to the crease until the end of days play. Bijoy remained unbeaten with 36 runs while Mithun scored 10. Khulna were 135 runs for five and maintained a 89-run lead at the end of second day’s play against the defending champions.
The two left arm bowlers, Saqlain and Sanjamul Islam shared two wickets while Forhad Hossain bagged one for Rajshahi.
